Hello all my scrapping friends, hopefully Sarah and Erin . I bought a Cricket, I have 30 days to decide to keep it or send it back. Have you used one before? What are you're thoughts? Is there another brand thats better that does the same thing?
'Kay, first things first. Megan, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookies, so share & share alike! I would appreciate some of those for when I scrap too!
Marsha, I don't have a Cricut so I can't give you much to go off of. But I have had Sarah cut out letters for you and it's pretty handy...but have never used one myself. Sorry, not much help here!
Megan, you are going to learn this summer. You can do everything else why not scrapping? You do make killer oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! So chewy too! Maybe by my birthday I'll be able to eat them again??
Alright, so I got the Cricut for Christmas and I DO enjoy it. It's pretty amazing that the letters can be cut so quickly, in various sizes, and each font box you have four variations or so to pick from. The only downside I have found is the font boxes are pretty pricey, so it's hard to not get sick of the using the same font over and over again. Something I didn't realize would be so handy is the shapes that can be cut out, too, like circles, etc. Honestly, when I got it, I was a little unsure if it'd be worth it, the bulk and expense of the stuff, but I am glad I have it for scrapbooking and church stuff (posters, etc.) If I were teaching it'd be a lifesaver, but I've done some fun projects with the kids and cutting their names out and stuff.
And Megan, I think you should whip a batch of those cookies and we should have a scrap weekend where we Cricut and eat cookies. Yum!
CRICUT ROCKS! There is a new one the Cricut Expression, a little more spendy, but I think it would be worth it. (Although I don't have it) I have the normal Cricut that cuts 6X12 papers, but the new Expression one cuts 12X12. Cricut cuts vinyl also, so you can cut those sayings people put on their walls. As for the cartridges, yes, spendy, but I hit Wal-Mart when they go on sale and I got a Christmas one for 12 bucks! Usually they go on sale for 25-35 dollars instead of the normal 65 bucks. So pretty sweet deal if you can wait. Also they are coming out with a "Mormon" cartridge, so it's words like Temple, families are forever, that type of thing. You might be able to get it on their web site already. hope this helps!
