The great escape

Dusty and Jocelyn were up for the weekend, they hadn't seen Stran yet so they stopped by the Craners'  for a peek. Fallon was excited to see her newest cousin. She did all the normal stuff you do when you see a new baby. She smiled at him, she patted him, she poked at him, she coughed on him, she held him, she laughed at him, and played with his toys. That took all of 15 minutes...hmmm "where is Roxy?" (thats Craners' pooch) So she proceeded to find her favorite black lab and smile at her, pat her, poke her, cough on her, hug her, laugh at her, and pull her tail. It didn't take long for Roxy to high tail it for the doggie door.

Hmmm.... I can do that! "Roxy, wait for me!!" Next thing you know Roxy is back in the house.  You can probably guess the game she wanted to play? That's right.. "IN and OUT". This girl has waay too much energy.
Grandma was just glad mom and dad were there to chase her every time she escaped outside. It was a fun time had by all. (except Roxy) Aren't grandkids the BEST!!

Lazy Days of Summer

Brandon and his two youngest girls were here for a week. It was great spending time with them.
It would be great to have the energy that Alizah and Piper have. Heck I'd take just half of it. They had swim lessons in the hot tub 4 times a day. Daily trips to" Bogger" King for chicken crowns. Chowing down to buttered popcorn  while while watching "Ice Age Three" 3D, daily checks on the 4-H piggies down the canal bank, eating everything chocolate we could find, gabbing the slow rocking hammock, sleeping in late, chocolate sippie cup and baba's. Riding bikes. Playing with cousins, digging in the dirt, watching Madagascar 3 900 times, and watching daddy and pappa ride horses. Oh ya, they liked riding in grandma's fast car. Those are just a few things we did to pass the time away. How could I forget , playing with Roxy!! Aren't they just cutie pies? They much prefer Megan than grandma now days. ( I even move faster than her these days.. go figure)

Summer is just flying by. It's been a great summer so far, and I'm lovin the heat. I don't want to wear anymore jackets this summer. Lots of good things coming up, can't wait!

New Dew

Yikes it looks as if I only have one good eye. I really have two, just so you know. I was getting sick and tired of looking at the last blog which has been there for eeever!! I'm trying to remember when the last time I wore my wig? It's been a while. I thought summer was apon us and it was going to be too hot to want to wear one. Boy was I wrong! I was getting really tired of wearing a wig, so I decided to come out of the closet and wear my own hair. It's still not all that long but it's all I've got and it is what it is. So ta da here it is. Guess the Dr.'s think I'm doing great because two weeks ago I got my port removed! Whahoo!! Much to my dismay I still get stinkin tired but I feel great. Hope everyone out in blog land feels great too!

Surprise visit

Last month I got a phone call from my cousin Scott Whittle. It has been a long time since I've seen him, anyway he was up visiting his dad in Idaho Falls. They wanted to drive to Burley for a visit. It was such a nice surprise.  I didn't realize Scott was living in SLC. He is working at the same place Tony was working before he moved. Uncle Keith sure reminds me of dad. I'm sure he is missing his sweet wife, Dawna. She recently passed away. We had a great visit and they stayed for a roast beef dinner. It was nice to see that special little twinkle in his eyes. He still has an excellent memory of the past and he seem to enjoy talking about things. Uncle Keith has always been one of my favorite uncles, I always thought he was so cool. He still is. He is the the last surviving sibling on my dads side. I need to make it a point to go see him more often. He loves fishing and the outdoors, I asked him if he'd like to go to the cabin this summer. I think that smile meant yes. Makes me thankful for family, for uncles, for good memories, and if I try the chance of being with them again someday.

Trying to make all the tea parties

Trying to make all the right tea parties is just plain exhausting. If you want to make the society page in the Times News you just have to try. A power nap in between helps.

But all that sugar makes you groggy. You just have to put on a smiley face and be polite.
Eat dainty, lick the chocolate off your lips, and being a good listener is key!
Then some of us hit the runway ( Mini-Cassia Women's Conf.) and model maternity clothes. Thanks Megan I've kept you busy this week, thanks for all your help. This reminded me of Erin, Sarah, and Megan when they were younger. Remember when you girls went to the Racquet Ball Club and you were flirting with this boy. You told him Megan modeled all around the world and she was visiting here, taking a break? LOL you guys were a " hoot.. that what you were!"

Beauty and the Beast

Isn't Hanna thee most beautiful enchanted rug you have ever seen? Every year the Moses Lake stake puts on a musical for the community to enjoy. This year it was "Beauty and the Beast". Megan, Jocelyn, Kortni, and myself went to support Hanna in her role in the play.  The play was amazing, excellent talent, great costumes, amazing back drops, a fun evening for everyone. We snuck in chocolate chip cookies and red licorice. Kicked back and enjoyed the show.
I had to get a picture with one of the stars didn't I? Hanna stop growing up so fast. Can't believe you are eight years already. I love all the cartwheels and dance moves!

Jocelyn, Hanna, and Megan afterwards. The whole cast met us at the doors to thank us for coming to their closing performance. It was worth the long drive. Can't wait till next year. Hanna you are going audition again aren't you?

Good-bye cast!

Due to a little swim in the bath tub, um..I had to get a new cast. I told the nurse I was sure I drained it "really good". I knew it was dry. At least I hoped it was. I even bet Mike $20 it was dry. And it was, the nurse was nice enough not to charge me for another one. I miss "camo girl" but a black cast was fun. I only had to wear it for a week. Meanwhile Jocelyn brought Fallon to Burley so her parents could watch her while "us" girls could have a fast road trip. So we made a detour to Twin to have my cast removed, before meeting Dusty in Boise.

Yikes look at that saw man!! Everyone says, "oh it doesn't hurt, it doesn't even come close to your skin." Hmm a friend was just telling me last week that when her husband got his cut off they cut his arm. Yeah...that story flashed in my brain pretty fast. I looked wicked but it came off pretty easy. I didn't get a sucker or a sticker... whatever!!

As soon as it was off I was taken to x-ray where they did three pictures of a brand new joint. No rust on the new one. Only four weeks of dead skin..... gaagrosssss! Then the nice hand doctor proceeded to bend my thumb up and down...yaoooohhh! I don't have to wear any kind of soft brace. The doctor has given me two weeks to see what "I'm made of ?" Will I exercise it  or will I be forced to have therapy? You bet my little bippy I'm going to give it plenty of exercise. I didn't got through all this pain for nothin! My scar is a little bit on the "wicked" side but I'm hoping it will fade over time. Besides it's a nice accessory to my stretch marks.
I have a lot of catching up to do on my blog, so I'll be back in a couple of days.
